Croatia Sailing Adventure

Escape the crowds on our private Croatia sailing trip

Our Croatia sailing adventure is the experience of a lifetime! Enjoy hiking, kayaking, stand up paddleboarding, swimming and snorkeling, all with the idyllic backdrop of the northern Adriatic’s most stunning islands. Many of the islands we’ll visit have pristine nature and little development, allowing you to see the true Mediterranean as it once was.

From tasting fresh seafood and local island cuisine to experiencing the islands’ unique cultures, get ready to be immersed in the Mediterranean way of life while exploring some of the most beautiful natural settings Croatia has to offer. The catamaran will take us to undiscovered bays with crystal clear turquoise water, sandy beaches, dense coastal forests and diverse wildlife.

This tour is a perfect way to isolate yourself from crowds and is ideal for families or groups of friends. You’ll spend most nights aboard the catamaran, our own private floating island for the week, and will visit numerous remote areas with few tourists.

Whether it’s floating in unbelievably blue waters along remote shorelines or exploring ancient Roman ruins, this Croatia sailing trip is full of unforgettable experiences that will stay with you long after you’ve returned to shore.

DAY 1
Arrival in Rovinj

Our Croatia sailing trip begins in Rovinj, one of Croatia’s most iconic seaside towns. Groups typically meet in the afternoon or evening, so please keep this in mind when booking your flights and other transportation. We recommend arriving in the morning or the day before our welcome meeting to ensure you have enough time to explore this lovely coastal town.

After settling into the hotel, we will meet for a welcome drink, dinner and a brief orientation to discuss the upcoming holiday and get to know the guides and fellow travelers.

Accommodation: Rovinj; Meals: Dinner.

DAY 2
Day at Sea - Sailing, Swimming & Snorkeling

After breakfast, we’ll board the catamaran, our private floating island for the week, and get acquainted with the boat and sailing procedures. Once we get settled, we’ll set sail towards Susak. As we head south along the Istrian coast, we’ll stop at several islands for swimming and snorkeling breaks and enjoy lunch on the boat.

We expect to arrive in Susak in the afternoon, depending on the weather conditions. There will be time to explore the area around the port before meeting for dinner together at a restaurant on shore.

Accommodation: Susak – Catamaran; Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

DAY 3
Walking Susak’s Coastal Trails

Today we’ll explore Susak, a small, remote island with a year-round population of only around 150 people. Visiting this charming, car-free place will make you feel like you’re stepping back in time. We’ll circle the island on a 4-hour walk along scenic coastal trails, with plenty of time to enjoy Susak’s sandy beaches, which are a rarity in the Adriatic.

You’ll have some free time to explore the port and have lunch on your own before setting sail for Mali Losinj. We’ll arrive in the evening and have dinner together, and then there will be free time to explore the picturesque old town center on your own.

Accommodation: Mali Losinj – Catamaran; Meals: Breakfast, Dinner

DAY 4
Sea Kayaking Losinj Island

Nicknamed the Island of Vitality, Losinj is known for its abundant sunshine, clean air, clear water, and warm sea breezes. We’ll spend today paddling along the shoreline to hidden coves and soaking up the beauty of this lush island.

The area is home to many different plant and animal species, including bottlenose dolphins and sea turtles. In fact, Losinj’s waters are one of the places you’re most likely to witness these sea creatures in Croatia. We’ll spend around 5 hours total kayaking, including breaks for swimming, snorkeling, and relaxing in the peaceful turquoise and emerald bays.

After kayaking, you’ll have time to get lunch or a snack on your own in one of Losinj’s coastal towns before we hop on the catamaran and sail to Cres Island. We’ll have dinner together at a small restaurant in Punta Kriza known among sailors for its fresh fish and seafood.

Accommodation: Punta Kriza, Cres – Catamaran; Meals: Breakfast, Dinner

DAY 5
Rest Day - Relaxing, Swimming, SUP & Snorkeling

Today is all about swimming, snorkeling, and soaking up the sun in the Mediterranean paradise of Punta Kriza. The area’s sparkling blue waters and sandy bottom will make you feel like you’re in the Caribbean.

You can relax on the boat or take stand up paddleboards and kayaks to explore the seemingly endless coves on this wild peninsula. Keep an eye out for deer and other fauna on shore.

We’ll enjoy dinner and sunset from the boat and stay the night in one of the coves. If it’s clear, you can expect incredible stargazing, as there is very little light pollution in this remote natural area.

Accommodation: Punta Kriza, Cres – Catamaran; Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

DAY 6
Nerezine to Osorscica Hiking

After breakfast, we’ll sail to Nerezine on Losinj and hike to the top of Osorscica, the island’s highest peak. From the summit, you’ll have a stunning, panoramic view of the Kvarner Bay and islands. On a clear day, you can see the Velebit mountain range on the mainland, the Istrian peninsula, the Dalmatian coastline and the Zadar archipelago islands.

There is an option to go cycling on Cres instead of hiking. Please let us know what your group prefers when booking. After returning to the catamaran, we’ll sail to Martinscica on Cres and have dinner together in the port.

Accommodation: Martinscica, Cres – Catamaran; Meals: Breakfast, Dinner

DAY 7
Day at Sea - Sailing, Swimming & Snorkeling

Today we’ll make our way back to Istria. Depending on the weather conditions, we should be able to make various stops on small islands between Martinscica and Pula, so you’ll have time to swim, snorkel and explore more beautiful coves.

We will disembark the catamaran upon our arrival in Pula, so you’ll need to make sure to pack your bags ahead of time.

Pula is known for its Roman ruins, including a well-preserved amphitheater dating to the 1st century BC. You’ll have time to explore the city on your own before our farewell dinner together as a group.

Accommodation: Pula hotel; Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
