Hiking in Istria – Ucka Nature Park Hiking Tour

This Istria hiking trip takes you through beautiful Ucka Nature Park to the top of Vojak peak on Mount Ucka. Rising 1,401 meters above sea level, Vojak is the highest peak on the Istrian peninsula.

This area is known for its unique climate and lush forests. Ucka’s meadows and woodlands are home to many protected, endemic plant and animal species.

At the summit, we are rewarded with a breathtaking view of Istria’s rolling green hills, the shimmering Adriatic Sea, Kvarner Islands and Velebit Mountains in the distance. On a clear day, it is possible to see the Italian Alps, and even Venice! It makes hiking Ucka a must-do activity when in Istria. 

We can enjoy a picnic lunch (please bring your own food and snacks) with a view of the mountains and sea, making sure to leave no trace in this protected natural area.

The Ucka Nature Park hiking trip will take around 3-4 hours from start to finish.

All prices are per person, with a minimum of 4 people per group. We can do the tour for groups of less than 4, but the price for each person will be higher. Private tours are also available – contact us for more details.

  • Tips for your guide(s)
  • Transfers to the starting point are available on request, charges may apply

CANCELLATIONS:

In the case of extreme weather conditions, Terra Magica Adventures will reschedule the activity for a day or two prior to or after the date booked, if possible. If the change is not possible, payments will be refunded in full.

All clients’ cancellations must be in writing by email.
Cancellation charges per person (percentage of total price):

  • 8 or more days prior to arrival – 0%
  • 2-7 days prior to arrival – 50%
  • 1 day prior to arrival or no show – 100%

Arrival and departure point: Details provided when booking.

Things to bring with you:  Hiking boots, water, backpack, bug repellent, sunscreen, some snacks, some cash for souvenirs, spare t-shirt.

Transfers: Transfers to the starting point from various locations in Istria are available on request (subject to availability – charges may apply).

Minimum age: 8 years if accompanied by parent(s).
